If a manufacturer wanted to make the best face cream, there are certain compounds that should be avoided and others that are “must haves.” Some of the compounds are expensive. So, if the manufacturers want to make the creams affordable, they have to cut back on costs in other ways.

When you see creams advertised on TV or endorsed by famous celebrities, you may be tempted by the advertising hype. When you see lots of full-page magazine ads extolling the virtues of the latest cosmetic company offerings, you might come a little closer to buying them. At least, that’s what the companies are hoping for.

Smart consumers realize that they are paying for those expensive advertising campaigns. The companies that really have the “good stuff” don’t do a lot of advertising. If they did, we wouldn’t be able to afford their products.

The safest and most effective compounds are naturally occurring. Synthetics are cheaper.

Vitamin E has been included in cosmetics for decades, but it doesn’t do what it is supposed to. Why? Most companies use the synthetic version.

The best face cream will contain natural vitamin E, not only because the antioxidant activity is good for the skin’s health, but also because it helps to preserve the other ingredients. Artificial preservatives are cheaper.

Antioxidants are important to the skin’s health and appearance, particularly when it comes to delaying and/or reversing the signs of age. One of the causes of skin aging is free radical damage, caused mostly by exposure to the sun.

Antioxidants like vitamin E are known to help prevent free radical damage. The latest studies have shown that other antioxidants can actually reverse damage that has already occurred.

The best face cream will contain the antioxidant coenzyme Q10, in a high enough concentration to provide the results seen in clinical trials. Those results included a 30% overall reduction in sun damage; that’s the leathery looking wrinkled skin seen on people’s faces when they have spent their whole lives in the sun.

The results of the coenzyme Q10 studies have been published far and wide. Because of that, you will see labels that say “now with coenzyme Q10″, but if you read the ingredients label, you will see that it is listed far, far down the list, often following the parabens or other artificial preservatives.

If manufacturers want to make the best face cream, they will not use cheap fillers and rely on a drop or two of “active” ingredients to sell their products. They will make something that they can be proud of, something they will recommend to their family members.

Of course, those are “ideals”. Very few companies are actually like that. You can usually spot the “bad” ones pretty easily. You’ll see ingredients like petrolatum or mineral oil on the package.

If it is the best face cream, it won’t contain them. You’ll see ingredients like grape seed oil and the antioxidants mentioned here. But, don’t worry. You can afford them, because they will not be heavily advertised.

Get unscented olive oil soap and shred it into a bowl, add a few drops of essential oil to it along with chopped herbs and two teaspoon of oatmeal. Heat the mix under gentle heat until the mix is integrated and the pour it into soap moulds for cooling.

Other than that you can also try to improve your lifestyle with a proper routine of skin care. Start a new exercise routine where you are working out for at least 30 minutes everyday. Boost your immune system with fresh food and vegetables that will ensure that your body is strong enough to prevent the disease from recurring.

10% of babies worldwide are affected by baby eczema (or infantile eczema) with symptoms that range from severe to mild. It can appear on any part of the body and will look like a dry scaly rash that is sometimes red and inflamed, and in severe cases it may even bleed. And just like for adults, the eczema can be extremely itchy and irritating. As a mother I know that when I see my baby uncomfortable or in pain all I want to do is take it away, so this article will show you some soothing gentle remedies that you can try at home including making your own baby eczema cream.

However first thing to do is make sure that the home is clear of anything that may be irritating your babies skin. That could include certain soaps used to bathe your child or detergents used to in the laundry to wash their clothes. Dust and pet hair is also a known irritant so make sure to keep the area around your baby clean and well aired.

Dress your baby in natural fabrics such as cotton which allow the skin to breathe and also make sure you use soft cotton linens on his or her bed.

To relieve any itching get some oats (porridge or steel cut oats are fine) and place them in a square of fabric or old stocking that will allow the oat milk to run out. Tie it at the top or place an elastic band around it so that the oats can’t fall out. Run a lukewarm bath for your child and place the oats in the bath so that oat milk goes into the water. This is very gentle and very soothing for your baby and will help immeasurably with the itching and dryness.

You can make a lotion with pure almond oil to which you have added some vitamin E. Buy Vitamin E capsules at your local health shop and use a pin to prick open one of the capsules to add to the almond oil. Gently use that mixture on your babies’ dry/inflamed areas. You can also add some oats to the mixture to thicken it up and apply it like a cream (it can be messy but it’s very effective). If you don’t like the large lumps of oatmeal I’ve found it very effective to grind up the oats in a coffee grinder before adding it to the almond oil lotion.
